Come join PEF at Erie County SPCA's Paws in the Park, their longest-running fundraiser that is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The event invites people to come with (or without) their dog for a scenic two-mile walk at Beaver Island State Park.

The Mini-Vet School is presented by the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society and hosted by Medaille College in Buffalo, NY.

NFVS and Medaille's Mini-Veterinary program is where people and science come together. You will learn about the causes and treatments of the conditions that affect your pets, as well as some of the latest advances in veterinary medicine.

The Mini-Veterinary School is a five-week series of lectures by the most accomplished and dynamic veterinarians in the area. Each lecture will be a "course" in a subject covered in veterinary school.

Come and experience Buffalo's Pittie Party of the Year! Rock A Bully is Fix A Bull's annual fundraiser to help local dogs get "fixed". All proceeds from this event will be used to spay/neuter many more pit bulls/pit mixes/bully breeds. Over 350 dogs fixed and counting!

Mini-Vet School 2018
Another year of Mini-Vet School is right around the corner!  Come join PEF every Tuesday in October at Medaille College for this annual program where people and science come together!

New York State employees can contribute to PEF through weekly payroll deductions as part of the SEFA NYS.  An employer's payroll office can provide additional information. 

Employees of companies who participate in the United Way's campaign challenge may direct their contributions to PEF.  Simply complete the optional "Where Do You Want Your Gift to Go?" section on the back page of the campaign card.

Michelle Horton, DVM
Board Member

Dr. Michelle Horton was born and grew up in western New York. She graduated from Cansius College with a degree in Biology in 2009, and obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Guelph (Ontario) in 2013.
 
After graduation, Dr. Horton worked at Blue Cross for two years, then moved to Toronto for one year to practice and experience big city life. She returned to Blue Cross and is now its Medical Director.  Outside of work, she enjoys traveling the world, trying new restaurants and cuisines, and exploring the great outdoors with her Border Collie mix, Lenny.
