As we welcome 2013, I would like to extend an invitation to our customers and colleagues to come visit us at our two upcoming tradeshows. We particularly hope to be able to reconnect with the people we missed at MILCOM in October. With an increased emphasis on unmanned vehicles and special operation teams, Pharad has developed an extensive and popular portfolio of UAV antennas, covert antennas, and specialty antennas for these applications.
Next week, we will be exhibiting at WEST in San Diego, CA. Our booth will feature our portfolio of UAV antennas (in a new UAV display), gooseneck antennas, and wearable antennas.
In March we will be returning to the West Coast and to OFC/NFOEC in Anaheim, CA. We will be displaying our RF-over-Fiber products and introducing a new hardware that has been developed for interference cancellation in communication platforms.

Directive Wearable Antennas
Pharad has introduced new enhanced gain, directive antennas that offer extended coverage and increased performance in the Dual-band WLAN, C-band, and UWB frequency ranges. All of the antennas were developed in order to meet the emerging needs of customers demanding higher gain body wearable solutions. Applications include wearable health monitoring and video transmission.
Consistent with Pharad's wearable antenna line, the directive antennas are small, lightweight, unobtrusive, and feature Pharad's patented Flextenna technology, providing flexibility to conform to the body and flex with body movement.
Paintable Antenna Systems
Pharad once again is at the forefront of innovative technical solutions with the introduction of our new, state-of-the-art paintable antenna system.
This paintable antenna can be easily applied to many different surfaces, including brick, wood, plastic, and dry-wall. Importantly, many antennas can be produced from a single can of the supplied paint, thereby lowering the overall cost of this unique radiator solution. The kits include everything required to easily install a variety of paint-on antenna solutions including the conductor spray paint, the prep and finish spray paint, universal feed sections, and an assortment of radiator stencils.
The kit contents and installation instructions are simple and no special training is required to construct the antennas. Check out the installation video:
Pharad to give Short Course and Talk at OFC
In addition to exhibiting at OFC, Pharad's VP of Engineering, Dr Dalma Novak of Pharad will be giving the following presentations as part of the conference technical program:
