Physician Connection Recap
The September 20 Physician Connection was a large success. The COPIC hosted dinner and CME presentation,  "If you want to engage your patients, you may have to learn to dance",  was presented by Linda Sample of Citizens for Patient Safety. This informative presentation addressed patient-centered care, shared decision making in the patient encounter, and included tips for communicating with patients such as motivational interviewing, coaching, teach-back, encouraging assertiveness and bedside rounding.  Linda presented several videos in her presentation that captured both the challenges of patient communications (with a little humor) and the ultimate goal of a physician and patient relationship. Two of those videos are featured below. We'd like to thank COPIC, The Pinery at the Hill and our many sponsors for helping to make this event beneficial to our guests.
