At the October 10, 2017 Council Meeting, the City of Pickering endorsed a motion to support the development of an airport in Pickering, subject to the results identified in the Federal Government's forthcoming Aviation Sector Analysis. Review   Report CAO 03-17 and   Council Meeting Minutes.

Pickering has responded to the request for bid, to find a location for Amazon's new North American HQ2.  Pickering has a lot to offer, including land, talent, competitive costs and preferred lifestyle.  The bid was submitted as part of a Region of Durham response and delivered to Amazon through our investment attraction partners at Toronto Global. Together with the Region of Durham, a website was created to showcase all that Pickering and the Region of Durham has to offer Amazon and its employees. #PickeringProud!
