The latest news and offers from Pilates Plus Physio
Lets Get Behind our Team!
This month we are getting behind the Scotland Rugby Squad as they prepare for their World Cup Campaign kicking off with their opening game against Japan on the 23rd September. We look at how Pilates can help rugby players of all levels in our blog, and our challenge of the month will help to build global strength essential for a contact sport.
New Member of our team

We are delighted to welcome Charlotte Marshall to our team. Charlotte will be fulfilling an administrative role, but will be answering client enquiries so you may find her answering your emails and she will be on the end of the phone to help with class bookings and clinic appointments.
New Physio

Kirsty Rennie has now joined the Physio Plus team and has a clinic on Monday evening 6.30-8.30pm . Kirsty has been teaching our evening and postnatal classes since 2011 and enjoys the challenge of rehabilitation at all levels, personalising treatment to the individual.
To find out more, or to book into the clinic, please call 0131 226 5009 or email [email protected]
Kirsty will be offering a Monday evening clinic for physiotherapy and personalised Pilates sessions.

Farewell for now to Becca and Lindsay

We bade Becca and Lindsay farewell on their maternity leave with a delicious afternoon tea at One Square, The Sheraton. No news of the arrivals so far but you will be the first to know!

Pilates for Rugby
To mark Scotland Rugby's campaign in the Rugby World Cup 2015, our blog talks about how rugby players can benefit from Pilates at all levels.

Challenge of the Month - Gym ball roll out.
A challenging exercise for all which will develop all over body strength is the gym ball roll out. Using the gym ball challenges your core strength as you are on an unstable surface. Start in the position opposite. Keeping a neutral spine, and length through the shoulder blades, extend the hips and knees until you are in a plank position and hips are parallel to the floor. Hold for a few seconds, then bend the knees and hips to return to the start position. Repeat as many times as you can (without falling off!).
