Help Needed this Wednesday at the PLP Garden


The Watch Us Grow PLP Garden Club prepped the planting beds for this Wednesday's LS Planting Day. K-5 classes will each take part in planting kale, cabbage and other vegetables during the school day and adult helpers are needed. No experience necessary!

Fall Pictures October 21

Retakes of Fall Pictures will be on October 21st for Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. This is a date change at the request of Crider's Photography. 

NAVY shirts and khaki bottoms must be worn for photos (except seniors).

If you see upper students dressed...a bit strangely this week, it's Upper School Spirit Week! Middle and Lower School students will celebrate Spirit Week October 27-30.  Read on and join your community at the homecoming football game Friday, or enter your favorite chili recipe at NovemberFest!

NovemberFest 2014


 

Mark your calendars and bust out your crock pots to develop the perfect chili recipe. NovemberFest is scheduled for Saturday, November 15th beginning at 4 p.m. 

The second annual event will feature an introduction to the athletes representing Pine Lake Prep's basketball, cheer and swim teams; a chili cook-off with fabulous prizes; s'mores by the campfire, and opening night of the Lower School Book Fair. 

You don't want to miss this unique PLP event!

Tuesday, October 21st 7:15 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. 
Location: Fine Arts Building (band room)

Parents are invited to stop by and meet the school counselors at Pine Lake Prep:  Jackie Kurtz (Lower School), Tiffany Coscia (Middle School), and Anna Bulfin (Upper School). They will be going over their roles in each school and how students and parents can utilize their services.

GEMS: Girls Exploring Math and Science
Ms. Clarke's GEMS class had a special guest, Steve Langley, who taught the girls that no matter what shape a bubble has initially, it will try to become a sphere -the shape that requires the least energy to achieve. The girls then worked in stations to make their own giant bubbles
