Boxtops

Please check over all your collected boxtops and send in any that will expire before 10/15.

Continue to save all other Boxtops for the Summer Collection Contest and be on the lookout for a collection sheet in your child's report card envelope.

Test Preparation

Before the Test
  • Get a good night's sleep the evening before the test.
  • Eat a healthy, protein-rich breakfast the morning of your test.
  • Arrive on time (set two alarms if you need to)
  • Relax your mind before the test begins.
During the Test
  • Read instructions carefully.
  • Read each question carefully, paying attention to details.
  • If you come across a question that is difficult, don't spend all of your time on it. Move on and come back to it at the end.
  • Don't fall into the trap of looking for patterns in the answers. There really can be three (or more) "C" answers in a row.
  • When you are finished, look closely to make sure that you haven't overlooked any questions.

We have so much to celebrate and look forward to as a community so let's take a moment to come together before summer starts!

We will also honor one very special Pine Lake Preparatory lady, Ms. Gloria Miller, for her many years of serving in education.

Join us for the fun and sign up before Thursday.  Register here:  http://PLPGolf2015.eventbee.com/event?eid=129724874

From the Summer Camp Director's Desk

Summer is right around the corner we still have space in most of our summer camps.

We have also added a STEM Camp for rising 8th through 10th graders.

Title: STEM is our FUTURE

Investigate how energy works and discover how small bursts of creativity can unlock huge potential for the future. The learning activities and digital resources contained within this online curriculum allow students to explore the concept of energy as they work together over a five-day period. Get started today and ignite the STEM spark.

Spend a week developing your STEM skills with the Upper School's Robotics Team Faculty Advisor, Paul Ebenhoeh. This is a full day of hands-on and digital, mind bending fun.  Build wind turbines, build green houses, construct a water wheel, and sequence events to show how atoms are split.

July 27 - 30,  9:00 am to 3:00 pm

$200.00

You can find information on all summer camps on the Pine Lake web page. It is under the gold parent tab at the top of the page. The brochure and registration form is on this page. Prices will go up after May 29th, so register today!

Camps have been very successful at Pine Lake in past years. Don't let your children miss out on this great opportunity for fun and learning.
