The growth extends beyond Pine Tree Camp
“It’s the greatest place on earth.” That’s how Addie describes Pine Tree Camp.

Addie, now a junior at Cony High School, has attended Pine Tree Camp since she was 9 years old.

It was at camp that Addie made her first friend as well as developed her natural talent for music through the music and drama program.

Heidi, Addie's mother, believes that the joy she experiences at Pine Tree Camp has led to her growing interest in school participation...and she went on to build another friendship!
"Everybody has the right to communicate."
Local news stations FOX 22 ABC 7 and WABI 5 visited Pine Tree Camp on Thursday, July 5th to see what Camp Communicate is all about.

Linda Bonnar, Director of Communication Pathways at Pine Tree Society, founded Camp Communicate 14 years ago. It is a week of summer camp dedicated to non-verbal children who use augmentative and alternative communication devices.

FOX 22 ABC 7 interviewed Carolyn Sweet, the mother of camper Jaclyn. Listen to Carolyn and Jaclyn’s experience here.

WABI5 spoke with Wayne and Kathleen Parker, parents of camper Kaylie Parker, about the impact Camp Communicate has had on their daughter and family. Watch their story here.
We are so thankful to everyone who helps us impact the lives of children and adults with disabilities throughout Maine each day.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
