The Pinellas County Transit Alternatives Analysis (AA) Project Team would like to announce three upcoming Stakeholder Forums for the Pinellas AA. At these forums, participants will be asked to comment on the project goals and objectives as well as the preliminary corridor options. There will also be targeted discussions on the environment and livability, economic development, and land use. The Stakeholder Committees will convene several times throughout the project to discuss major project milestones.

Below are the dates and locations of the three Stakeholder Forums:

· Environment & Livability Committee: Tuesday, November 30, 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, 4000 Gateway Centre Boulevard, Suite 100, Pinellas Park.

· Economic Development Committee: Thursday, December 2, 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, 3201 Scherer Drive, St. Petersburg.

· Land Use Committee: Thursday, December 2, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, 3201 Scherer Drive, St. Petersburg.

The Pinellas AA is one step in the development of an interconnected regional transit system in West Central Florida. The Stakeholder Committees will help inform and guide the study as it looks to implement fixed-guideway transit service, such as light rail transit, that will connect the major residential, employment, and activity centers in Pinellas County to Hillsborough County and future High-Speed Rail services.

For those interested in attending a Stakeholder Forum, please RSVP to Brandie Miklus, Transportation Planner, brandie.miklus@jacobs.com or 813.977.3434.

Information on the Pinellas Transit AA:

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) and the Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), in partnership with the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), are conducting a formal Federal Transit Administration Alternatives Analysis to identify transit options that improve Pinellas County's and West Central Florida's quality of life. In doing so, the study looks to implement transit service connecting the major activity centers in Pinellas County - Clearwater, the Carillon/Gateway area and St. Petersburg - as well as connecting to Hillsborough County.
