This event will feature two nationally recognized experts on the American Founders and the institution of slavery, Dr. Jack Rakove and Dr. Howard Dodson, Jr.
 
Their addresses will be followed by a panel discussion about the appropriate role of US History instruction in K-12 education. Confirmed panelists include: Robert Pondiscio of Core Knowledge, Anders Lewis, of Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School, and Will Fitzhugh, The Concord Review. 
 
The event is co-sponsored by The Concord Review, Core Knowledge, Harvard's Program on Education Policy and Governance, and the "We the People" program. 
 
At the event, Pioneer will release new research on the current status of history instruction in Massachusetts.
