Community Survey Results
Based on the Community Survey results and the current space needs at both the high school and elementary school, we are in the planning stages for a future referendum.
To stay updated on community feedback, current needs of the district and future plans as outlined by the survey, the board, and our community-member facilities committee, we have created a Referendum Planning - 2018 section on the website.
Visit the page to view the Survey Results from the community meeting presentation and to download a brochure .

Ready for the Holidays in Agriculture Classes
The Greenhouse class has been busy making wreaths from evergreen boughs they have collected themselves after learning how to identify different conifers. Then they learned some basic floriculture principles and designs before constructing a Thanksgiving centerpiece.

The Water, Woods and Wildlife class is building fishing rods!

**DID YOU KNOW?**
In Horticulture, students learned how to graft apple trees with rootstock; propagate African Violets, geraniums, snake plants and more. Students LOVE working in the greenhouse and learning plant identification, the need for cleanliness and organization, responsibility for watering along with customer contact skills. Students build models to depict the parts of the greenhouse and using math, calculate space required, potting media required, along with profit and losses. Students learn plant anatomy and understand the purpose and advantage of large vacuoles and tropisms.

Beauty & the Beast a Success!
The fall musical, "Beauty and the Beast" was a huge success. The music provided by the pit band under the direction of Joel Pohland was fabulous - members pictured on right.
The actors, actresses, and stage crew gave us three amazing performances under the direction of Diane Hauan.

Over 1000 people come to the PAC to enjoy the show! Thank you to everyone who came to watch the performance.
Healy Teachers Practice What They Preach!
Teachers from Healy High School traveled to St. Cloud Escape Rooms this week! Working together, each team was given clues to try to break out of their respective 'Escape Room'. Success in 'escaping' required communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity - sounds familiar!
