Thank you Prestige Auto Corporation!

A great big "Thank You" to Prestige Auto and everyone that purchased a car from Prestige in June! Prestige chose the Boys & Girls Club as the spotlight organization for their car sales promotion last month. Each car that was purchased in June awarded the Club $100.00. On top of the sale promotion- community members were urged to bring in old hats and exchange them for a new Prestige hat- awarding the Club an additional $5.00 per hat. We are honored to be chosen for such an amazing promotion and we cannot thank Prestige and the community enough for their generosity, which totaled over $21,000!

Summer Attendance Soars

It's hard to believe, but this week we are over halfway through our Summer program! So far this summer we have seen higher attendance rates than ever before, allowing us to maximize our space at the Mary Markquart Center. We have also been able to increase our trips to Fairfax Pool this year to trips twice a week, allowing members to enjoy the outdoors and sunshine much more when the weather has allowed. On top of the pool trips, field trips to compliment the weekly themes have sparked member imaginations while increasing physical activity for groups of all ages. Members shared a few of their favorite parts of summer programming so far with us:

Save the Date for Lemonade Day

Mark your calendars for the Fifth Annual Lemonade Day!

On Thursday, August 7th from 10am-3pm, Boys & Girls Club members will be selling lemonade at over twenty locations across the Greater Chippewa Valley!

This fun, community-wide event teaches Boys & Girls Club members how to start, own and operate their own lemonade stand! Club members from the Chippewa Falls and Jackson County Centers will also be joining in the fun in their communities with an additional eleven sites! We can help you choose lunch or supper on Monday, July 28th! The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley's Mary Markquart Center is partnering with Toppers Pizza in Eau Claire (both locations) to run a special promotion to directly benefit the Club! For every order that is placed that mentions the Boys & Girls Club, 50% of the order total will be donated to the Club! And, if over 50 orders are placed, an additional 5% of all daily sales will be donated as well. This is great opportunity to enjoy your favorite pizza as well as benefit the Club! Spread the word to your co-workers, family and friends!
