Confluence
June 2014

As we continue to celebrate our 60th Anniversary this summer we invite you to rediscover Roberson.

Take yourself on a journey to our Prehistoric Past featuring some of New York State's oldest residents.  Explore the skies and experience one of our new Full Dome Digital Planetarium shows.   Find fun for the kids with one of our summer camps, or you can also treat yourself to something new with a beginner pottery course.

When planning your journeys this summer we hope you make sure to make Roberson a destination!   Explore this edition of Confluence for a glance at what's happening at Roberson.

We look forward to seeing you often throughout 2014, and thank you again for supporting Roberson for 60 Years!

Collectors:  We Want You!

Roberson Museum and Science Center is working on a special exhibition as part of our 60th Anniversary, set to open this fall.  We're focusing on the 50s and 60s time period to showcase the lifestyles and pop culture during Roberson's early years.  We are lucky to have wonderful items in our collections, but also want to involve the community in making this exhibition come to life.

Here is where you come in.  Roberson is looking for items dating from 1954 - 1964 which are good quality and excellent condition.  Roberson is asking individual collectors to be willing to lend the items for a two-year period (duration of the exhibition).

Clothing:

Toys:

Especially toys which reflect the space race, tv shows and movies.  Outdoor toys including skates and scooters.
