Tune into Plano Town Hall on Thursday Evening
Got questions? The  Digital Plano Town Hall  is Thursday, Aug. 10 from 7 to 8 p.m. We will be taking any City-related questions online, by phone and in person. Since it is budget season, Mayor Pro Tem Rick Grady, City Manager Bruce Glasscock and Director of Budget and Research Karen Rhodes-Whitley are also ready to answer your budget questions. Town Halls are one way we make it easier to connect with your city.

Participate in the conversation with one of these options:
Adopt a Study Buddy & Secret Keeper
at Clear the Shelters
A volunteer introduces a puppy to a prospective family.
Let your next adventure begin at Plano Animal Shelter on Saturday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Come by and find a sidekick at Clear the Shelters Day . We are waiving pet adoption fees in a regional effort to get shelter pets in loving homes just like yours.  Last year we placed 132 Plano Shelter pets in forever homes during Clear the Shelters. Help us place even more pets this year!

All adopted pets are sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. Nearly 300 dogs and cats, along with several rabbits and guinea pigs, want to be part of your family.

Make it a great beginning by preparing for your newest family member with these tips:
  • Make sure all your current pets are up-to-date on vaccines, so everyone remains healthy.
  • Evaluate and repair your fence to prevent any accidental escapes.
  • Research information about introducing a new pet into your household.
Our team can't wait to help you find that purrfect match. Feel free to drop by the Plano Animal Shelter, 4028 W. Plano Parkway, a few days early to meet the pets in a less busy atmosphere to narrow down your favorites. We look forward to sharing this day with your family.

Follow us on Facebook to see photos of pets with their new families and feel the excitement of Clear the Shelters Day. #LovePlano #CTSDFW
