Miss Widner's News

Dear Parents, Students, Grandparents, and Staff,
Greetings! It is hard to believe we are rolling into September. With the weather being so warm, it is hard to believe that we are coming into Fall.
We have a great opportunity for service hours for our middle school students (grades 6-8). Our nursery is under new management ( Marci Rittmanic) and is in need of volunteers to help after some Sunday Masses and during the week. Please check out the flyer in the Wednesday envelope that details the days and times. Besides middle school students, adults can help out as well! As always, you will need a safe environment background check!! Thanks so much for helping out. Marci really appreciates the volunteers!
Our 8th graders are off to Leadership Camp today through Friday. Please keep the students and staff in prayer as they build those great skills over three days!
I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming holiday, Labor Day. Enjoy time with family and friends if you are fortunate to enjoy a holiday on Monday! If you are traveling, please have safe travels! I am traveling to Arkansas to see my aunt.

Have a great week,
Miss Widner
Principal

Arrival & Dismissal Reminders

As we are getting into the everyday flow of school, I would like to remind parents and students about some of the parking lot rules and expectations, so we can keep our lots running smooth and safe during arrival and dismissal.

Arrival Reminders:

1.Pull your vehicle all the way up to the crosswalk if there are no cars behind you. This is so we can pull around and empty as many cars as possible.

2.When dropping off, please have your children exit the vehicle on the SIDEWALK side.  Students may begin exiting the cars as soon as your vehicle reaches the sidewalk area by the playground.

3.  Do not pull out of the arrival lane at any time. Please wait for the vehicle ahead of you to move. This is a safety issue.

4.  To help prevent cars from pulling around other vehicles, please have your child ready to go so they can exit the vehicle as quick as possible. Have their bookbags, lunches, shoes, etc. ready to go.

5.If you are walking into the school, do not walk in between cars. Please, use the cross walk.

Dismissal

1.Do not leave the parking lot early. Park in your designated area (Aboite or Homestead), pick up your child and WAIT until you are dismissed.  If you need to leave early due to an appointment, special activity, please contact the office and we will make those arrangements for you.

2.If there is any change to your child's dismissal procedure, please contact the office and their teacher as soon as possible.

3.Do not backup at any time.
