Miss Widner's News

Dear Parents, Students, Grandparents, and Staff,
Greetings!! We are having a great start to the school year! Last night we had Back-to-School Night for our parents in grades K-5 and tonight we have it for middle school. This is such an awesome way to hear what is going on in the classroom and ask questions as well! If you are unable to attend our BTS Nights, please email the teachers and ask them to send home any information that you missed.
Plastic caps- for those of you who are new to our school, we collect plastic lids, caps, and then turn them in after we collect 200 pounds (it used to be 400 pounds!). We work with a company called Green Tree Plastics, and they take the plastic caps and recycle them into benches. We have 4 benches so far with the first four Commandments!! The children have been working very hard to collect these caps. We even have enlisted grandparents, neighbors, and friends from other states. With every bench we have made, we also have to turn in $250.00 to process the bench. So far, we have enough donations for the next 6 benches. However, we are having a picnic table made and 2 more benches. Therefore, we need $500.00 for the benches and $575.00 for the picnic table. If anyone would like to donate towards a bench or the picnic table, that would be awesome. You can also have a bench made "In Memory Of" or "In Honor Of." Donations are made payable to SEASCS. Once we have completed all the Ten Commandment benches, we will work on the Beatitude benches followed by the Stations of the Cross!! Praise Jesus!!

Have a great week,
Miss Widner
Principal
