The 2017 Streets Alive! festival boasts nearly 100 diverse exhibitors who provide a wide variety of fun and useful health, wellness, fitness, and other information in an interactive and engaging way. Senior, family, child, pet and wheelchair friendly, two miles of Belmont streets are blocked off from traffic. Pick up an event brochure at any information booth. Enter or exit anywhere along the route. 
 

Kid's Activities
Learn, Play, Move

Kids will have a blast with bubble soccer, archery tag, the bookmobile, the LES electric light show, bounce houses and more!

In Good Taste
 Healthy food that's yummy

And when we say this festival is in good taste, we mean that literally. 

 

Find fresh, wholesome,  produce from  Community Crops, Green School Farms, and Anchor Gardens.  Enjoy taste treats from Eat Fit Go, Taqueria Limon, and Gelato to Go.

Performers
Music, Dance, and Fitness
String Beans

Throughout the route and on stage  at you'll enjoy all kinds of music and dance.  Kids and families will love the String Beans  on stage at
 
Belmont Elementary School and the  Lincoln  Ukulele Group at 12th & Benton Sts  .

Max E. Roper Park  plays host  to R & B and pop music favorite, TunaFish Jones  from 1 - 5 PM
 
The stage at Belmont Elementary hosts the funk and soul sounds of the Cool Poppas.
 
KX 96.9 hosts a live remote at 13th & Manatt.

Everyone will be dancing in the streets! Watch or dance  along  to performances of country swing,  Asian lion dancing, jazz, hip hop, traditional Irish dancing, wheelchair dancing, or drum lines, all along the festival route.

Whether it's fitness boot camps, Tai Chi, La Crosse, yoga, fencing,  tennis, kickboxing, rollerblading,  or disc golf, you'll find opportunities to watch, learn, and/or join in all along the route.

STREET HIGHLIGHTS
We couldn't do this without our sponsors.  I n honor of the Community Health Endowment, we've renamed the entrance to Belmont Park, CHE Lane.  Highlights in the park include bubble soccer, archery tag, the dunk tank, giant bean bag toss, and the Gaga pit.

We've renamed Knox St., CHI Health St E Lane in honor of CHI Health St. Elizabeth.  Highlights on Knox include the LES Electric Light show, the Lincoln Lightning Roller Girls, and the State Patrol seat belt toss.
 
We've renamed 9th St. KLKN TV Lane. in honor of KLKN TV.  Highlights on 9th St. include the photo booth, the Sesostris calliope, and the Lincoln Bike Kitchen. 
 
We've renamed the entrance to Max E. Roper Park as City of Lincoln Lane in honor of the City of Lincoln.  Highlights in Roper Park include disc golf, La Crosse and tennis demos, dog drills and skill, and the Hy-Vee Wellness bus.

We've renamed Benton St. Bryan Health Lane in honor of Bryan Health.  Highlights on Benton include Doeden Country Swing Dancers, the Lincoln City Library Bookmobile, and Dancing Beyond Limits.
 
We renamed 13th St. Lancaster County Medical Society Lane, in honor of the Lancaster County Medical Society.  Highlights on 13th St. include the LFD Fire and Smoke House and the food court/farmers market.

What we do:
Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln collaborates with local organizations on joint projects to increase fitness, promote healthy weight and good nutrition, support breastfeeding, and improve cancer screening and vaccination rates. Our work includes improving health policies, conducting community level research, and evaluation of the success of local health initiatives.
