News from the Board meeting
During its October 26-27 meeting, the NRMP Board of directors discussed issues related to the Specialties Matching Service (SMS). Board members reviewed current SMS threshold requirements, program participation criteria, and requests from Fellowship Match sponsors to strengthen program and applicant participation. NRMP will seek input from all Fellowship Match sponsors to guide the Board's decisions. |

Remind applicants that the early registration deadline is November 30! Registration completed after November 30 will include a $50 late fee.

Inform applicants about the availability of NRMP's smartphone application, The Match PRISM. The free resource allows applicants to use a smartphone to track programs where they apply and interview and to create customized ratings to inform their ranking preferences.

Encourage applicants to complete the Professional Profile section of Match registration so NRMP can continue publishing quality reports like Charting Outcomes in the Match.
