Known by fans as "the most fun you've ever had", New York based power pop band The Great American Novel is thrilled to announce their new record Kissing. Following the success of their debut album You and I, the NOV released their second full-length record on June 19th to great reviews. Produced by Oliver Ignatius at Mama Coco's Funky Kitchen in Brooklyn, NY.  Kissing is available digitally at thegreatamericannovel.bandcamp.com.

Combining the raucousness of Guided By Voices with the melodic aesthetic of 1960s pop and Motown, Kissing is the perfect summer soundtrack. With tracks like the first single "American Weekend," an unstoppably fun anthem you can listen to here  this album will stick in your head (but you'll want it there!). Overflowing with feel-good choruses and witty lyrics, Kissing is the summer record you've been looking for.

Known for their energetic live shows, The Great American Novel has played venues like The Bowery Electric and The Bitter End, all the while receiving non-stop positive reviews from notable blogs such as The 405, Music.Defined and Dingus on Music. Cracked Vinyl declares that their debut album, "can't be missed; it's filled with beautiful lyrics, catchy music that'll bring back memories of favorite 60's rock bands, and a stellar rhythm section that pushes that 60's rock sound forward into the 21st century." That album's hit single I Believe in Love! is the reason we love power pop, with a chorus that you'll never stop singing and lyrics you wish you had written.
