Chris will share his perspective on and experience with the development of a state-level strategy for renewable energy deployment in Rhode Island, including offshore wind and onshore wind and solar options for residences and businesses.

Professor | URI Department of Chemistry

Dr. Lucht will share some of his award-winning research on lithium ion battery life and storage capabilities, and provide some insight related to how large scale electrochemical energy storage is critical for the integration of more renewable energy into our power grid.
