Polaris Migration Update
We will be switching to a new library operating system ( Polaris ) in April. To ensure a smooth transition, there are a few things you can do. Please make sure that the following steps are completed by the beginning of April.
Update Your Account

Make sure that we have your correct Name, Address, Phone, and Email on file.

Visit or contact the Circulation Department to update your account information.
Update Your Account Notification Preferences

T ell us how you want to be notified about overdues and holds: Phone calls, Text messages, Email notices, or Snail Mail.

Replace Your Library Card
´╗┐(For FREE)

After updating your account information and notification preferences, make sure that you have your physical library card. You will need your physical library card to checkout after April 1, 2018.

Save Your Enterprise
´╗┐Reading Lists

To email or print a list, log into My Account and view lists. Select a list, then use the checkbox next to the Select an Action dropdown to select all items in the list. Alternatively, you may select a subset of items using the individual checkboxes with each item. Then, in Select an Action, choose Email. You will be prompted for an email address and subject heading.
You can use the same process to print a list of items.

You can also visit or contact the Circulation Department for assistance in preserving your Enterprise Reading Lists.
Save Your Reading History

Visit the link below or contact the Circulation Department to save your reading history.

(Note: if you have "Record my checkout history" selected in Symphony, the setting will migrate to Polaris and your "Maintain reading history" setting will be active.)

Enterprise: Current Library Catalog, used by patrons and staff to search for and reserve library materials. Also used to manage accounts and pay online fines and fees.

Polaris: New Library Operating System, coming April 2018. Will affect our patron database and account management.

PowerPAC: New Library Catalog, coming April 2018. Will offer different functions than our current product.

Symphony/Workflows: Current Library Operating System and Patron Datasbase Management System. Used by staff to maintain library materials inventory and manage patron accounts.

Offline: A period of time when all systems will be down. Patrons and staff will be unable to access patron account information and library materials information. No new accounts will be created during this time.
