A Message from our CEO

Today, I was pondering the meaning of life. And just then my Daddy came in and asked me if I wanted to play ball at the park, with Chuck-it in hand -- well, let's just say playing ball took priority! No brainer if you ask me.
I sure do love to run and catch that ball. Sometimes I sit there and make my Daddy come after me - he he. But most of the time, I bring the ball back, so he can throw it again.
It definitely is the season to get out and play. At Urban Pooch we have Chuck-it's, balls, frisbees and all things pooches love. If you haven't browsed the store recently - stop in and see all the new fun stuff we have!
I want to give a big shout-out to BABY - our Pooch of the Week - she is sure one sweet lady!
Also, don't forget that New Training Classes are beginning - both Tilman and Matt will be teaching - Basic Obedience and Puppy Classes. A well-trained pooch makes everyone happy!

Pooch of the Week - BABY

baby, baby, baBY....babY, baBY, BABY!!!!
BABY is our POOCH OF THE WEEK! As told by Jessie:
BABY is an almost 2 year-old Pit Bull who is an absolute love bug.
Whenever BABY comes in tons of different songs come into my head. Baby seems to be the only one that likes it when I sing to her. I will admit, we do dance sometimes:)
Urban Pooch is like BABY's version of Cheer's...... "Where everybody knows your name!" From the second she walks in the door, she says hi and gives hugs to everyone along the way.
She always makes sure to peek in Dan's office to see if he is in, then makes her way back to the playroom.
BABY loves playing with Crede, Charley, Mona and Izzy. Well, she really likes playing with everyone!
BABY is one of the sweetest dogs around and is always able to make you smile. We LOVE YOU BABY!
BABY and her Mom, Charna, will receive 4 hours of free daycare. Congratulations!

We are excited to provide this new convenience for your busy lifestyle.
Pooches ride in air conditioned comfort at all times.
- Pick-up and drop-off 7 days a week
- Monday - Friday: 6:30 am - 7 pm
- Saturday - Sunday: 8 am - 5 pm
- All pooches must pass a socialization test to participate in daycare and boarding
- Reasonable at $7 each way

New Training Classes Start 6/5 - Details

We're very excited to announce our next round of Training Classes
BASIC OBEDIENCE TRAINING CLASS - BEGINS Thursday, June 7th
This class, taught by our Head Instructor, Tilman, begins on Thursday, June 7th from 7:30pm to 8:30pm and will take place on Thursday nights for consecutive weeks. This class will be limited to 8 people with their pooches.
PUPPY OBEDIENCE TRAINING CLASS - BEGINS Tuesday, June 5th
Designed for Puppies - 12 weeks to 7 months.
This class, taught by our Certified Instructor, Matt Downs, begins on Tuesday, June 5th from 7:30pm to 8:30pm and will take place on Tuesday nights for 6 consecutive weeks. This class will be limited to 8 people with their pooches.
Matt comes to Urban Pooch Canine Life Center after being the Lead Trainer and Team Member at "Paradise 4 Paws" in Schiller Park since April while at the same time teaching Obedience Classes at Wrightway Rescue in Chicago. Matt's customers at Urban Pooch have been very pleased with their pooches' progress!
