TAKE YOUR POOCH TO A GRIZZLIES GAME!
|
| The annual Grizzlies Hockey Pooch on the Pond night is coming up on February 19!
If you're not familiar with this event, you're in for a treat. On this night, well-behaved dogs on leash are invited to attend the game with their people in the special Pooch Section of the arena, where they can catch all the action and cheer on their favorite players.
And even better -- when you purchase your tickets for Pooch on the Pond from No More Homeless Pets in Utah, a portion of the ticket price will help support our spay/neuter and adoption programs!
To get your tickets, please call Danielle at 801-432-2124 ext. 20. We hope to have them for sale online soon, so you can also check our Events page in the next week for online ticket sales.

VOTE FOR US ON THE ANIMAL RESCUE SITE
|
| You can help us win a grant simply through visiting the Animal Rescue Site every day and voting for No More Homeless Pets in Utah in the Animal Rescue Site's $300,000 Shelter+ Challenge. It takes just a couple of seconds and can help us reach out to even more of Utah's cats and dogs.
You can vote each day through March 20, 2011!
If you'd like to be more creative in your support for No More Homeless Pets in Utah, the Animal Rescue Site is holding another portion of the $300,000 Shelter+ Challenge -- the New Beginnings Story Contest. To enter this contest, write and submit a heart-warming rescue or adoption story about an animal close to you. The Animal Rescue Site will pick 5 finalists in March, and then the public will be able to vote for their favorite.
Please visit the Animal Rescue Site today to start voting and to get more information about the challenge!

MEET SHEENA, THE SNOW-LOVING DOG!
|
| Now that the weather isn't quite as cold as it's been in the Wasatch Valley, it's time to get out and enjoy the snow with good friends. And canine friends make some of the best companions for romping in the winter weather!
If you don't yet have a canine companion to enjoy the rest of this winter with, now might be the time to welcome Sheena into your life.
Sheena is a beautiful 5 1/2 year old husky shepherd mix who absolutely loves the snow. With her thick coat and playful spirit, she can play in it for hours -- even catching snowballs that you throw to her. But she's not a one-season dog. Her playful spirit will come out year-round, and after her play session, she'll be ready to snuggle up with you and enjoy quiet family time. Meet Sheena at the Taylorsville PetSmart (5748 S Redwood Rd) this Saturday and Sunday, and find out if she's the right match for your family! If you already know that you're interested in Sheena, you can fill out an online application here! If you have questions about her, you can email adopt@utahpets.org or call 801-577-5616.

SPAY DAY PHOTO CONTEST
| | The 2011 Spay Day Online Pet Photo Contest is now open! To participate in the contest, upload your best pet photos and name No More Homeless Pets in Utah as the beneficiary -- and we will receive $1 per each vote someone casts for your photo!
It costs nothing to enter photos, so enter your best ones. The photos with the most votes will win prizes!
Each vote is a $1 donation, all of which goes to the charity named in the photo description. Charities will use 100% of the money they raise to help fund spay/neuter programs -- which ultimately results in lower euthanasia rates and our goal of No More Homeless Pets!
The Spay Day Online Pet Photo Contest helps support Spay Day, February 22nd, a day when animal organizations across the nation come together to encourage people to spay and neuter their companions. Learn more about how you can participate in Spay Day, and look for our Spay Day event announcement in the first week of February! |
Together, we can save them all!
Sincerely,
