Visit CHAP at the Christ Bible Church in Cranberry Township. We have invited Susan Kemmerer, author of Homeschool Supermom ...Not! When Grace Meets Homeschooling to join us as our keynote speaker. There will be workshops covering topics from Getting Started Homeschooling to High School at Home. There will be a small vendor hall and a used curriculum trunk sale over lunch. Early College Start at UVF
Earn college credit while in high school and get an early start on your college education. The Early College Start Program allows juniors and seniors in high school to take General Education courses for college credit through dual enrollment. Students can complete their entire first year of college, completely online, before they graduate high school. The deadline to register for fall courses is August 14th. Apply today!

A big thanks to all of you for making the 2017 CHAP Convention a success. We are already looking ahead to planning 2018. Mark your calendar for June 1-2, 2018 at the Lancaster County Convention Center so you won't miss another great homeschool convention.
Scholarship Winners

The Leigh A. Genasevich Memorial Scholarship Awards were presented during the 2017 CHAP Convention. Each participant was required to write 3 one page essays. The three essays were about the student's Christian Walk, Homeschool Experience, and Plans for the Future.  Congratulations to this year's winners:
  • $1000 award went to Michelina Leonard (pictured above) 
  • $500 award went to Katelyn Kennedy
Speaker Recordings
Our convention speakers were inspiring this year! If you missed a speaker or you didn't make it to the convention at all, you can still participate by purchasing an MP3 of many of our speaker sessions. MP3 downloads can be found on alliance recordings.com for $4.50 each or download the entire conference for $120.
Q. Do I need to provide the full portfolio to the school district?

A.  No. The school district should ONLY receive the letter from your evaluat or noting that your  student is making acceptable educational progress. Remember, this evaluation letter is due to the school district by June 30th of each year.
