Phoenix Contact's NEMA 4x Wireless I/O Device

Phoenix Contact has added a new 900 MHz spread-spectrum transceiver to its award-winning Radioline product family. The RAD-900-DAIO6 (Outdoor Radioline) makes retrofit and expansion projects much simpler and faster by eliminating or supplementing signal wiring for conventional I/O signals. This device can monitor digital on/off status, actuate relay outputs, and transmit or receive 4–20 mA signals over distances up to 20 miles. The I/O signals can be mirrored at other stations in the wireless network or mapped to Modbus RTU for easy integration into a Modbus host system.

Phoenix Contact's VAL-US Series UL Open Type Listed Surge Protection
The VAL-US product line is a UL Listed series of pluggable surge protection devices that utilizes high-capacity varistors to provide high-quality protection. The VAL-US series offers status indication contacts for remote monitoring, as well as hot-swappable plugs with integrated visual-status indication for easy maintenance and replacement. The VAL-US series includes a variety of circuit configurations based on U.S. power systems. As UL Open Type Listed devices, these products are integrated easily into existing systems and applications with no additional third-party safety testing. UL recently added the “Open Type” description to complement traditional hardwired SPDs. Open Type now allows for surge protection to be UL Listed as delivered with field wiring terminals. Now panel designers can implement surge protection according to our instructions without testing for every configuration. This is an important advance in our existing product approvals, and will greatly simplify the process for our 508A panel shops.

MAGPOWR launches the DLCA NET family of Amplifiers: DLCA NET, DLCA NET-Slim and DLCA NET-IP65

MAGPOWR recently launched three tension amplifiers with advanced networking capabilities, the DLCA NET, DLCA NET-Slim and DLCA NET-IP65, with the slim catering to applications where panel space is crucial and the IP65 to applications where tension values can be converted to communications on the machine itself without going back to a control panel. “With our new line of amplifiers that include built-in networking capabilities, we are offering EtherNet/IP™, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, an embedded web server and EtherCAT for the first time in a tension amplifier,” said Chris Harper, Global Product Manager for MAGPOWR Tension Control. “This family of amplifiers and its included features allow for fast and easy integration into machine control networks and adds high performance and enhanced reliability to web tension measurement.” The new line of amplifiers transmits calibrated tension values from one or two tension zones over dual port communications and offers EDS file AOP, DLR Ring, PTP time stamping, alarms and an embedded web server for setup and calibration.
