Powersports 1 Sportsman UTV Title Sponsor

 

Abrams, Wisc. (May 4, 2017) - Thanks to the collective work of TORC and MORR to bring short-course UTV racing to the Sportsman ranks, the class now has  a title sponsor, Powersports 1. The agreement will award the top three finishers in the 2017 Sp ortsman UTV Class Champion a total of $1750 at the annual MORR Sportsman Banquet held  at the Island Casino in Bark River, Michigan.

 

"When the UTV classes first arrived on the TORC scene in 20 16, I knew there had to be a place for the UTV enthusiast to get some race experience before  taking on the PROs and the Sportsman  UTV class is perfec t," note d Powersports 1 owner Rodney Vanepren. "This partnersh ip  will promote our

business,  jump start the class and really  ramp up the competition."

 

To qualify for the championship bonuses (First: $1000, Second:$500, Third: $250), competitors must display the Powersports 1 decal on both sides of their race vehicle during the entire race season and be a MORR member.

The start of the TORC Series presented by AMSOIL is one week away as the Sportsman and PRO classes will be competing May 12-13 at the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. After the season opener, the thirteen round season will see the MORR Sportsman racers compete throughout the Midwest at ico nic facilities like Crandon, Bark River, Red Bud as well as Minnesota's ERX Motor Park.
