BC Salmon Farm Tour - 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, June 10
Join the BC Salmon Farmers Association on a tour of a working salmon farm.

Come see for yourself what salmon farming is all about. This is a great opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the industry and the high level of expertise and technology in growing BC farm-raised salmon.

You’ll have the opportunity to see a farm while you chat with farm staff a2bout the operations. You’ll also enjoy a scenic boat ride from Campbell River through the Discovery Passage. The tour lasts about 3 hours and box lunch is included.

Dock Days at the Comox Harbor, 11:00 AM & 2:00 PM, June 10
Wharf Tour
Join Rob Clarke, President of the Harbour Authority Association of BC and Wharfinger at the Comox Valley Harbour Authority (CVHA) and enjoy a guided walk of the Fisherman’s Wharf learning about the commercial fishing industry, stopping at different fishing vessels along the way. Different gear types and fishing methods will be discussed as well as costs associated with being a commercial fisherman and benefits the industry has to the coastal communities. Learn how the fishermen target their species associated with their license and how bycatch is dealt with.

FishSafe BC and the BC Young Fishermen's Network will also be participating in the tour.
