New Issue Brief:
Prenatal Oral Health Care

Center for Oral Health's new issue brief: "Prenatal Oral Health Care" focuses on the importance of good oral health and hygiene for pregnant women and the vital roles that prenatal and dental care providers play during this time. This issue brief is a joint effort of the Center for Oral Health and Western University of Health Sciences. 

This publication is funded in part by a grant from The California Wellness Foundation and Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals. COH's Brooke Bodart presents at March of Dimes Becoming a Mom/Commenzando Bien Training

On Thursday July 31, Center for Oral Health's Clinical Program Manager, Brooke Bodart presented to a group of health educators on the importance of oral care during pregnancy at the March of Dimes Becoming a Mom/Comenzando Bien Training. Oral health and pregnancy has been a requested topic at the March of Dimes educational meetings and COH was happy to be apart of this important training. 
COH attends and presents at the Los Angeles Dental Forum

On Wednesday July 30, Center for Oral Health's Jennifer Pilapil and Brooke Bodart attended the Los Angeles Dental Forum, a discussion about how to identify solutions to the oral health access challenges in Los Angeles County. 

Dr. Jack Dillenberg, Dean of A.T. Still University and Board Chair of Center for Oral Health (COH) was the moderator of the forum and spoke on the access to care issues and encouraged the group to develop new and innovative methods to address the problems. 

Brooke Bodart, Clinical Program Manager at COH, spoke on the impact of health and cost, discussing the forthcoming report that COH is working on which provides an in-depth analysis on the economic impacts of dental disease on the children in LA Unified School District. Read more about the LA Dental Forum here.

Oral Health 2020 is on November 6, 2014 in Long Beach, California.
