Plan Ahead for Disasters and Power Outages

September is National Preparedness Month. It's the perfect time to make an emergency plan for your family and to put together an emergency kit for your home and vehicle.

See what you should include in your emergency kit.

Celebrate Public Power Week with Us

Public Power Week is Oct. 7-13. This is an annual celebration of the safe, reliable, and affordable electric service that we provide to customers.

Please join us for these fun, free activities throughout the week:

Calendar Photo Contest
Vote for your favorite photos to appear in our 2019 PUD Calendar. You may vote during the month of October in our office, online, or at our Customer Appreciation Dinner.

Customer Appreciation Dinner
Join us Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Columbia County Fairgrounds for spaghetti prepared by the Deer Island Grange. See the winning entries from our Coloring Contest as well.

Seating is limited; tickets are required. They are free to pick up in our office while supplies last. Limit 6 per customer.

PUD Office Will Close for Training

Our office will be closed from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, for an all employee safety training.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Our Rates Remain Affordable

We work hard to keep our rates stable for you. Our average residential costs are 28% lower than the statewide average and 41% lower than the national average.
That equates to annual savings of $418 per household compared to the statewide average, which kept $6.9 million right here in Columbia County in 2017.

Switch to a Heat Pump for Year-Round Comfort

Ductless heat pumps and air source heat pumps both provide affordable comfort all year long. We offer a range of rebates for the installation of both systems.
A ductless heat pump is simple to install and doesn't use ductwork. We offer rebates from $400 to $1,200 for qualifying installations.
An air source heat pump can be added to an existing electric or gas furnace for more efficient heating and air conditioning. We offer rebates from $300 to $1,200 for qualifying installations.

Enter to Win a Quilt and Support GLOW

We are raffling a queen-sized quilt to benefit our GLOW Fund. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and may be purchased in our office. The winner will be selected on Oct. 13.
Our GLOW Fund provides emergency bill payment assistance to low-income PUD customers.
Thank you to the Columbia River Piecemakers Quilting Guild for donating this beautiful quilt.

Public Power Week
