Laurence is a procurement specialist, management professional, operational expert and mentor/advisor with over 20 years of national and international experience in the food and beverage, hospitality industries. WEConnect International
Liz Whitehead is the Director of Women's Business Development for WEConnect International. Along with providing certification to qualifying women owned businesses, WEConnect International provides tools and resources for leveraging the certification to gain visibility from major purchasing organizations, strengthen business relationships, and grow an enterprise.
In addition to managing WEConnect International markets in Europe, MENA, and Caribbean, Liz oversees the WEConnect Academy curriculum, an online series of trainings focused on doing business with major purchasing organizations. Her areas of expertise include supplier diversity and inclusion, small business marketing, building a network, bootstrapping an NGO, and perfecting your presentation. With these topics and more, she hosts WEConnect Academy Live which provides an interactive platform for market leaders, women business owners, and corporate representatives to share knowledge and expertise about the global marketplace. In addition, Liz oversees the data collection and analysis of WEConnect International programs as well as the monitoring and evaluation team.
