Ruling Elders Rule
Blog post by the Rev. Dr. Craig M. Howard
Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy
Transitional Leader

I come from a family of bishops. My great-grandfather was a bishop of several Holiness churches along the east-Texas border with western Louisiana. My father became a bishop of the same Holiness organization. My brother became a bishop of Pentecostal churches in Michigan.
I wanted nothing to do with bishops. This is one reason I became Presbyterian! Please continue here.

Seeking Synergy: Entrepreneurship Opportunities and Challenges in the STL Startup Ecosystem
Workshop by Kristy Jackson
St. Louis has a thriving startup business community moving from #49 to the top 10 in the country. Within this swell, there is a gap of underrepresented groups in this job and entrepreneurship growth. This workshop will include personal stories of the role Social Synergy plays in connecting the entrepreneurship community, discussion around the equity gaps that exist in the StL startup ecosystem, and tips to access the opportunities and resources available.
Host our History - Presbytery Wide
As the presbytery staff prepares to move into a smaller space, we must look at locations willing to host and care for historical items that are treasures of our presbytery. These items vary from communion sets to bound books; statuettes to stoneware; pictures to photographs. Can your church be in care of these precious gems? If you are willing to host items, we need to hear from you soon! Please email [email protected] to discuss what you might be interested in preserving for our presbytery.
