Seeking History Lovers for

Preservation Month Photo Contest
 

Help mark National Preservation Month this May by entering the Lakewood Preservation Month Photo Contest, sponsored by LakewoodAlive, the Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board, and the Lakewood Historical Society.
 

Celebrated across America, National Preservation Month brings attention to preservation, places and events happening in historic communities throughout the year.  The sponsoring organizations are seeking photos that creatively capture your favorite buildings, places or events in Lakewood, and what you love about our great city.  Entries can be submitted from March 1 through April 30, 2015 in any of the following categories:

  • Residential Architecture

  • Commercial Architecture

  • Community Heritage / Pride

Entries will be judged by a panel representing all three sponsoring organizations. Winners will be announced during a special presentation at the Lakewood City Council meeting on May 18, 2015.

The funds generated through the Ohio History "Tax Check-Off" are made available through a competitive matching grants program, the History Fund. The History Fund supports the preservation and sharing of Ohio's heritage by supporting local projects, programs, and events related to Ohio's history.
