About Us
Doctrines
The Theosophical Society is nondogmatic and promotes freedom of thought for each one of its members. Theosophists, therefore, are encouraged to accept nothing on faith or on the word of another, but to examine these ideas and adopt only those that satisfy their own sense of what is real and important.

Revealing Reality through Mindful Inquiry
February 23, 7 p.m.
With Santikaro

Meditation and spiritual practice cultivate skillful attentiveness within all aspects of life, along with a deepening inquiry into what is actually going on. Many of our views are based on beliefs arising from habit and muddled motivation, so we must ask ourselves whether each of our beliefs is valid. Explore the crucial role of inquiry within the spiritual path as we learn to pay more attention, focus on what's important, and look even more deeply within.

Theosophy
A Spiritual Legacy for Humanity
March 2, 7 p.m.
With Tim Boyd

In Theosophical circles, we often tend to look to our past for guidance and inspiration. However, the essence of Theosophy is its relevance to life as it is being lived in the present. While we can learn from the past, it is the quality of our present actions that help shape the world we live in. To live a spiritual life is to make a positive and uplifting contribution to the well-being of humanity regardless of our particular role or position in the world. This is the timeless legacy of Theosophy.

The Chakras
A Magical Mystery Tour
March 9, 7 p.m.
With Kurt Leland

Many who encounter the chakra system become perplexed by the varying opinions about the number of chakras, their locations, attributes and functions. Consciousness researcher and clairvoyant Kurt Leland takes us from the 1880s, when the chakras were first described in English by the Theosophical Society, to the 1980s, when the present new-age system of colors and qualities came together-the result of an unintentional collaboration between Eastern gurus and Western scholars and psychologists, including Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell.

Weekend Meditation Retreat
The Meditative Mind
A Centering Meditation Retreat

Friday, February 24 - Sunday, February 26
Mindful, natural breathing brings us to a grounded space in the center of our bodies. This grounding is excellent for observing life with peacefulness, stability, and clarity. By reflecting on the nature of the breath, we can expand our awareness to encompass everything else. This retreat will explore the qualities of awareness centered in our bodies, on the breath, and on non-judgmentally opening to the space around us. Guided meditations, practice, discussions, noble silence, and plenty of time for meditation will support exploration and growth in these practices.
