DENVER, Colo.- Founding Partner Rob Swanson of RAS & Associates, a strategy and management consulting firm headquartered in Denver, announces the firm's participation in the 2nd Annual DCP Midstream Charity Golf Tournament held on May 20 on the championship 18-hole Pete Dye golf course at Glenmoor Country Club in Cherry Hills. This event is among the top fundraisers supporting the 2013 American Heart Association (AHA) Denver Heart Walk, raising a total donation of $600,000 this year.
DCP Midstream Partners LP (NYSE:DPM), the largest producer of natural gas liquids and a leader in the energy industry, is partnering with the Denver American Heart Association to raise awareness about heart health and good lifestyle choices with the Annual DCP Midstream Charity Golf Tournament. Last year, the event raised $465,000 for the 2012 AHA Denver Heart Walk while 36 of DCP Midstream's strategic partners played on the popular Glenmoor Country Club golf course. Companies such as DCP Midstream help the AHA reach its ambitious 2020 goal of improving the health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20 percent. The overall event goal for the 2013 Denver Heart Walk is $2,500,000.
Three RAS & Associates team members participated in the tournament for a second year. One of the RAS & Associates team golfers, Senior Consultant Tony Mauro, says, "I felt the event really harnessed the Denver business community's eagerness to support organizations like the AHA. It was great partnering with DCP Midstream on their number one fundraising focus and being able to make a significant contribution."
In addition to sponsoring a team for the golf tournament, RAS & Associates will be participating in the AHA's 2013 Denver Heart Walk, which will be held June 1 at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, located at 1101 13th St.
