Mayor Appoints Stephani Field as Human Resource Director

Westland, MI - Mayor William R. Wild has appointed Mrs. Stephani Field to serve as the City of Westland's Human Resource Director beginning February 20, 2018.

Field was born and raised in Garden City and her long career in human resources began in Garden City Public Schools. Following her tenure with Garden City Public Schools, she continued her career with Ann Arbor Public Schools where she would eventually serve as the Director of Human Resources and Employee Relations. Field has had direct experience in collective bargaining agreements, union negotiations, and all facets of labor and employee relations.

"My successful career as a public servant is one of my core accomplishments," commented Field. "I pride myself in assisting and helping others, and maintaining a collaborative and positive work environment. I look forward to working with the City Administration and all of our employees to continue to provide quality services to the Westland community."

Field is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and continues on-going professional development through many professional organizations, conferences, workshops and webinars.

"In speaking with Stephani's former colleagues, they have consistently noted her managerial, interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills," commented Mayor Wild. "Stephani's demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills will be a great asset to the City.
