Three Cities Art Exhibit -  On  Sunday, April 10  you will have the chance  to view some beautiful locally produced artwork by visiting the Three Cities Art Club exhibit at the Westland Library.  Watercolors, sketches, photographs, and many other mediums will be on display from Friday through Sunday afternoon.  Patrons will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites and purchase some of the pieces.  There will be a special reception on Sunday afternoon where awards will be presented to the winning artists.  For more information, please call 313-234-3939.

Mornings with the Mayor - Mayor William R. Wild is taking his monthly "Mornings with the Mayor" on the road in 2016. Mornings with the Mayor helps residents connect with Mayor Wild and his administration about matters of importance regarding City services or programs and events. This month's "Mornings with the Mayor" will take place on  Tuesday, April 12 and will take place at the Jefferson Barns Community Vitality Center, located at 32150 Dorsey.  This month's meeting is sponsored by Gordon Chevrolet. We will be raffling off five $10 Meijer gift cards. To be entered into the raffle, you just need to sign up to walk at the kick off of the Relay for Life event on June 4 at 10:00 a.m.  Individuals walking for Mayor Wild's team "Wild's Walkers" will also receive a free t-shirt! 

Police vs. Fire Dodgeball Tournament - Westland's hometown heroes, the Police and Fire Departments will be squaring off in a dodgeball challenge on Friday, April 15 at 5:30 p.m.  This event will take place at Airtime Trampoline and Gamepark, located at 36901 Warren Rd.  The proceeds from this charity event will benefit the American Cancer Society for Mayor Wild's Relay for Life Team.  The cost is $5 to come and watch or $10 to jump and enjoy all of the amenities Airtime has to offer.  There will be concessions available for purchase.

Friday Night Glow Skate -   The Mike Modano Ice Arena is still open for the season and Friday Night Glow Skate is back.  Glow skate will run every Friday from 7 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. and will cost $8 for kids and $9 for adults for residents.  The cost is 50 cents more for non-resident.  One glow in the dark accessory will be given will the purchase of admittance to glow skate.  The Ice Arena is located at 6210 Wildwood.

Study Session - For the next two Saturday mornings there will be special Study Sessions in the City Council Conference Room of City Hall.  The first will take place on Saturday. April 16.  The public is invited to attend these meetings where the topic of discussion will be the Proposed Departmental Budgets for the next fiscal year.  The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m.  To see the agenda, please click here
