San Diego, CA. - JM2Group, a San Diego-based digital media studio, has announced the publication of an online Google Virtual Tour for the new San Diego Central Library.

Google Virtual Tours provide life-like panoramas of the layout, dcor, functionality & style of a business's interior and are delivered to the consumer through Google's Street View technology.

In addition to appearing on Google search results, virtual tours can be embedded within a website and social media pages -- further adding to a business's online marketing effectiveness. Google estimates that over 100,000 businesses in the U.S., Australia, Europe and India have published Virtual Tours since the Business Photos program was launched in May 2011.

JM2Group expects that number to increase everyday. "We believe most businesses will publish Google Virtual Tours in the near future since it's an effective way to showcase all the details customers would like to see while walking through a location remotely," said Jennifer McIntyre, the studio's co-founder and certified Google Trusted Photographer.

"We're especially excited about the Google Virtual Tours we've created for our Southern California clients," said McIntyre. "Right now, online customers can walk through a growing number of locations virtually due to the tours that JM2Group recently published for Tower23/JRDN, Hotel Indigo, Bootlegger Bar, Southpaw Social Club, The Double Deuce, The Blind Burro, EastLake Tavern, and many others businesses in the area. The Library virtual tour is the most involved and complex virtual tour our studio has created, however, at this point."

The Library's tour includes over 100 viewing positions on 4 floors and was developed with 1,200 high definition panoramic photographs stitched together to provide 360 degree views of the its Lobby, Courtyard, Auditorium, Popular Library, Children's Library, Teen Center, Mezzanine, Reading Room, Baseball Library, Art Gallery, Events Center & Pelican's Perch.
