STATEHOUSE RALLY FOR LIFE TUESDAY AT NOON

HISTORIC HEARTBEAT BILL VOTE PENDING

Pro-Life Ohio Residents to Rally Outside the Statehouse at Noon

May 6, 2011 - For Immediate Release

With a vote expected any day on the Heartbeat Bill in the full Ohio House of Representative, a rally for life is being planned for Tuesday (May 10) in downtown Columbus.

The "Protect Women & Children Rally for Life" will be held on the State Street (south) side of the Statehouse on Tuesday from Noon to 2 P.M.    A time of prayer will precede the rally, starting at 11:00 A.M.

Speakers at the rally will include Rep. Lynn Wachtmann, the sponsor of the Heartbeat Bill (Sub. H.B. 125), the strongest pro-life legislation in the state, Representative Mike Henne, Representative Ron Maag, Representative Danny Bubp, Representative Cliff Rosenberger, former Representative Seth Morgan, Julie Busby, Ohio Right to Life board member, Janet (Folger) Porter, President of Faith2Action, Mark Harrington, President of Created Equal, Lori Viars, Executive Director of Family First, and Linda Theis, Past President of Ohio Right to Life.

Planned Parenthood, operator of abortion clinics across the nation, is also planning to have a rally the same day on the opposite side of the Statehouse.

"While one side of the Statehouse lobbies for death, we will be celebrating LIFE," said Janet (Folger) Porter.  "The choice is clear: life or death.  If you're not sure which side to attend: 'choose life!'"

"With a floor vote of the Heartbeat Bill coming any day now, you will not want to miss the opportunity to stand for life at this exciting moment in history," declared Lori Viars, Executive Director of Family First.
