"Colored pencils, graphite and ink give me the
control I
need
in realism. Add to that fluid acrylics
and watercolors
and I can express my mental
and emotional
states
in the abstract or surrealistic realm.
Regardless of media,
when I am in my right brain,
I feel as one
with the
painting or drawing I am working
on and often relate
to them as one would relate to a child.
I would love for others to enjoy my "children" as much as I
enjoyed the creative process that brought them to life."
Carola has received recognition as Louisiana Colored Pencil Artist in "Our Louisiana" Magazine in February of 2012 and January of 2013 and has attended colored pencil workshops provided by artists such as Dyane Locati, Linda Lucas Hardy, and Linda Theodoratos. She is currently teaching
workshops in colored pencil art.
