The Grand Review Victory March

 November 24, 2014

For more information about the Grand Review Parade March or other closing Sesquincentinnial Events visit the website www.grandreviewparade.org

Registration is now open for the Grand Review Victory March schedule for May 17, 2015 and the events leading up to the parade march.  The purpose of the Grand Review Victory March is to celebrate the "Rebirth of Fre

edom and Union."  The parade marked the end of the war and the dismissal of many of the troops.  No black regiments were allowed to march in 1865 but the 2015 march will correct the great wrong in history.  The victory parade will serve to remind us of what we are, the price paid and what we can yet become.

The African American Civil War Museum has planned an entire weekend of events leading up to the Grand Review Victory March down Pennsylvania Ave.  From workshops, to a Civil War Camp register today and join us for this historic event.  Visit the website today for more information, www.grandreviewparade.org.
