The Safer Way Award Nominations are Now Open | Submit By March 31st
PursuitSAFETY's Safer Way Award recognizes law enforcement officers and department leaders from the United States and Canada who reduce reliance on vehicular police pursuits by finding safer ways to apprehend suspects. 

Safer Way Award recipients receive the award at the annual IACP Conference and Exposition during the Highway Safety Awards Breakfast. PursuitSAFETY provides a complimentary round-trip airline ticket to the conference destination for up to two recipients.  XHAUSTR Industries  supports the award and will present an XHAUSTR Kit to the recipients.

Family remembers grandmother, children killed in violent crash
ATLANTA - For the second time in three days, a high-speed police chase in metro Atlanta ended with the loss of innocent lives.

Dorothy Smith Wright, 75, of Atlanta was driving to church. Joining Dorothy were her 12-year-old grandson Cameron Costner and 6-year-old Layla Partridge, both of Fayetteville, Ga.
 
Police: Retired couple killed in wreck by fleeing father, son
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -  Police arrested a father and son accused of causing a double fatal wreck after a police chase in Gwinnett County.    According to Gwinnett County police, Kryzysztof Krawczynski, 77, and Elzbieta Gurtler-Krawczynska, 78, of Norcross, were killed when their Mercedes-Benz was hit by a white Crown Victoria in Peachtree Corners late Thursday night.
