The SCS teacher recruitment team is looking for new, prospective teachers. Now's your chance to weigh in on 2018 charter school applications!

Remember Johnny 5??? Well, that's besides the point. What we really want to focus on is the public review process for 2018 charter school applications. To ensure a rigorous and transparent application process, the Office of Charter Schools is requesting public input regarding the strength of all charter school applications submitted in 2018. Any comments received by Friday, April 27 , will be considered during the internal review, and all comments will also be submitted to the School Board prior to the scheduled vote on June 26. You can view the applications and submit your input here .
Join us for SCS Day of Peace!

In light of recent nationwide events and in conjunction with ongoing MLK50 commemoration events, our District will host SCS Day of Peace on April 20 to promote peace and unity in the Mid-South. Join the movement by wearing white and supporting our students as they participate in various Day of Peace activities in their school communities. Check out the flyer to learn more about how you can be part of SCS Day of Peace.
According to our calculations... we still need more donations for Kids Kan!

Did you know that if every student and employee in our District (that's about 115,000 people) donated four pounds of food (about 5 canned goods) to the Kids Kan food drive, we could surpass our District goal by more than 75,000 pounds?!?! Help us reach our goal by dropping off your five-pound (or more!) donation at any SCS school by April 13 . Our support of the Food Bank will help serve more than 400,000 people across 31 Mid-South counties. Contact Lauren Evans for more info.
