Putt for Pride Registration Open!

Register your golf foursome, or sign up as an individual to golf, or reserve a corporate sponsorship at the 2017 Putt for Pride Golf Tournament, which will be held Monday, May 8th at The Peninsula Club in Cornelius.

The Golf Tournament is a PLP tradition. A time for parents, friends, business associates and others to enjoy a day of golf at the scenic Peninsula Club, while supporting a PLP fundraising event. The Ladies Luncheon is an event that brings together mothers, grandmothers and other friends of PLP for a delicious lunch, speaker, and raffle items to bid on. 

We will also be looking for items to be donated to the online auction, which is held the week before the Golf Tournament and Ladies Luncheon. If you know someone willing to donate a gym membership, restaurant gift card, theatre tickets, spa services, orthodontic services, vacation rentals, and other items of value, please contact  [email protected]







Non-Uniform Day Added for March 31; Dress Down for SPORK on April 7



Please note that an optional $5 non-uniform day has been added for Friday, March 31. The regularly scheduled first Friday dress down for April 7 is now a "red-out" fundraiser for Team SPORK and their trip to international competition in Houston, Texas. 


Mark your calendars for both Fridays! 




Campus Clean Up April 1




The National Junior Honor Society is hosting a Campus Clean Up day Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. until noon. Bring a lunch and blanket and join fellow volunteers on the turf for a picnic following the clean up!

Middle School Artist Wins National Award

Spencer   Kehe  was awarded a National Silver Medal from this year's Scholastics Art and Writing Awards in the category of " Architecture & Industrial Design."  This year's competition had  over 330,000 entries from multiple countries and Spencer won one of the 24 silver medals handed out to the Mid Carolina region.






8th Grade Golfer Qualifies for International Tournament

Congratulations to T.J. Moyer, who placed third at a qualifying tournament held in Chapel Hill at The UNC Finley Course, making him eligible to compete in The Optimist tournament, one of the most prestigious international junior golf tournaments, held in Palm Beach, Florida. 

More than 5,000 golfers, ages 10-18, participate in qualifying tournaments each year, with only about 620 moving on to the tournament.  









Pine Lake Prep has a great lineup of summer camps. Registration is through OrgsOnline under the Enrichments tab. 

Pine Lake's summer camps are open to family, friends and the community. Please share this information with your non-PLP friends as well!

The next PTO Board meeting will be Thursday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lower School.

The Pine Lake PTO is excited to offer a PLP RIDE at CycleBar (a PLP Family Owned Business).

SPORK Sells Discount Cards to Fund Competitions

Team SPORK (PLP upper school robotics team) is selling discount cards to raise money for competition expenses. The cards can be used multiple times and are valid until March 2018. The cost is $20.

There are some great deals in Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville and the cards will pay for themselves quickly.

If you would like to purchase cards, you will be able to get them from any Team SPORK member, or you can simply send in $20 (cash preferred) with your name/student name/grade, to any building, to the attention of Leslie Clegg (LS Art Teacher & Team SPORK Coach). 

Also, members of Team SPORK will have cards available  March 21st and 22nd at dismissal time around the loop.
