The Pride Post
STEM Building and Auditorium Ribbon Cutting

More than 300 have already RSVP'd for the ribbon cutting event Saturday, August 20th at 10 a.m. You don't want to miss tours of the building with interactive STEM stations, as well as performances on the new stage. We look forward to officially opening this final piece of the Pine Lake Preparatory campus, a truly tangible sign of the premier educational opportunities afforded to our students.

School Store Update

We are currently working with a vendor to come up with some new designs in spirit wear (sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc.). More info to come! In the meantime, you may still order items directly at www.plpuniforms.com such as PE uniforms.

Staff Recognition Program

Pine Lake Prep administration has established a staff recognition program at each school to honor teachers who have made an outstanding contribution to their students' educational experience. Each month, candidates will be nominated by their peers with final selections made by each building principal.

In addition to the recognition, Mr. Terrill wanted to give each teacher a gift to show them how appreciative the PLP community is for their extra efforts.

The Dennis family, Todd, Julie, Carson and Cooper, were on board with the idea immediately and have generously offered to contribute a $100 gift card each month to the winning teachers from each school!

To kick off the program, at teacher in-service, each principal announced their candidates for Teacher of the Year for the 2015-2016 academic year.

We are pleased to announce:

Who's Ready for Some Football??
Season Opener Tonight

The Pine Lake Pride will host South Davidson at 7 :30 pm at The Grey, PLP's athletic complex located at 203 Lion's Den Trail.  The facility is largely finished, with fences, sidewalks, bleachers, restrooms, and a concession stand. Here are a few important items:

Entering/Exiting- Please enter the complex driving from South to North (right turn). Please exit the property by making a right turn and heading North onto Highway 21. Please understand that we will be experiencing heavy traffic flow on this site.  Please be patient entering and exiting.

Start Time - Gates open at  6:00. The Admissions tent will be located at the top of the hill, before the parking spaces start. You will pay from your car, so please have your money ready.  No one other than volunteers will be able to enter the parking lot until  6:00.

Carpooling- Due to somewhat limited parking, we encourage everyone to carpool as much as possible.

Parking- After you pay admission, please drive all the way down to the east side of the parking lot to fill in spots from East to West. (We will have Parking volunteers to help this process.) This will allow us to see the number of spots that are open and determine whether we need to use Overflow parking.

Boosters Parking- Boosters parking is marked with a "P" (Premium Parking) and "T" (Tailgating Parking). If you do not have a Boosters Parking pass, you cannot park in the P or T spots.

Overflow Parking- If our lot fills up, there will be overflow parking at The Bridge Church on Hwy 21, with shuttles that will bring you to the field.

Admission- Admission is $6.00 for adults and students. The gates will open at  6:00 p.m. and not a minute earlier.

Concessions - Mama's Pizza will be serving pizza and drinks - cash only
