Attending the BBQ? Info to Know:

If you are planning to attend the annual Boosters BBQ and Homecoming Game - on our HOME field for the first time- here is some information you should know.

Address: The PLP athletic field is located at 230 Lion's Den Trail, which can be found on Google Maps. General directions: driving north on 1-77, take exit 33, turn right onto Hwy 21. The field will be about 1.5 miles ahead on the right, just after Waterlynn Rd.

Parking: We are expecting a packed house - and parking lot. If the lot fills, you may drive just a bit further on Highway 21 to The Bridge Church, at 2940 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville, where the PLP shuttles will be making runs to and from the field from 5 p.m. until the end of the football game.

Admission:  Admission for the football game is $6 per person, adults and children. You do NOT need to buy a ticket for the game if you are just attending the BBQ and enjoying the entertainment (inflatable obstacle course, punt, pass and kick contest, face painting, etc.) from 4:30 - 6:15 p.m.

At 6:15 p.m., the field will be cleared and all attendees will be re-admitted after paying admission to the football game. Fans may purchase football game tickets when arriving and have their hands stamped to avoid the ticket line and ensure quicker re-admission.

BBQ: All bulk to-go orders must be picked up between 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. at the field. If you have not yet purchased BBQ tickets and would like to, there will be a limited amount of BBQ plates available at the event. There will also be concessions and baked goods available for purchase.

Activity Wristbands: A ll-inclusive activity wristbands will be available for $5, for a soccer shoot-out, punt, pass and kick contest, inflatable obstacle course, pumpkin toss, and more!

Senior Fall Athletes Recognized: Senior football players will be recognized just before game time, at 7:15 p.m. Seniors from all other fall sports will be recognized at half time. Let's give them a big Pride cheer and make their last recognition by the PLP community memorable!

Bring your lawn chairs, pom-poms and appetite! Go Pride!

Annual Fund Spotlight: Teal Pumpkins for PLP

PLP students,  Morgan Reisig, Carley Sypolt, and Caroline Reisig , are raising money fo r the Annual Fund by selling "Teal Pumpkin Packages" for use at Halloween. If you are not familiar with the "Teal Pumpkin" movement, it is a way to let Trick or Treaters wi th food allergies know that you have a treat that is safe, such as allergen-free candy or non-fo od items such as stickers.

For $15, they will paint you a teal pumpkin and will supply you with a "treat" that is safe for ALL kids.

If you would like to order a Teal Pumpkin Package, email Shelley.Reisig@pinelakeprep.org and she will send you a safe PayPal link to make your donation. Pumpkins will be delivered by  October 28

Please share the creative ways YOUR students are raising money for the Circle of Pride Annual Fund by emailing communications@pinelakeprep.org. We'd love to share your story!

Remember, the Annual Fund ends November 6th, with the Early Bird deadline Oct. 28.

Upper School News

The Upper School hallways have been decked out for Spirit Week!  Each grade had a theme - Freshman are out of this world; Sophomores chose an under the sea theme, Juniors took a great American road trip; and Seniors went down the rabbit hole for Alice in Wonderland. Great creativity and artwork! The Lower School students will march up to the Upper School in their book character costumes next week and get to enjoy the decorations.

It's that time of year again!
Novemberfest is back at Pine Lake

- by Francine Castillo, Class of 2015

Pine Lake Preparatory will be holding its annual Novemberfest on campus on
Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm .

This year the event will include:
  • a chili cookoff
  • smore's around the campfire
  • fun school-spirited activities

Pine Lake will introduce their winter Basketball teams (Varsity, JV and Middle School), Cheerleaders, and Swimming & Diving teams, in their Athletic Community Center.

NovemberFest draws more than 600 people to the campus and creates a fantastic family event for the community. The cost is $5 which includes a sampling of chilis by Pine Lake's own chefs. All proceeds of the event will benefit the athletic department. Save the date for a fun-filled afternoon!

" These student athletes work so hard all year round that we felt it only made sense to recognize this hard work and celebrate the dedication towards their upcoming season.  "This year's event will be bigger and better than ever. Dress warm, pack the kids and come join us for a wonderful afternoon of Pine Lake athletics!" said Co-Athletic Director and Varsity Basketball Head Coach, Steve Treffiletti.

**Calling all Ree Drummonds, Ina Gartens and Alton Browns**
