If you have experience or professional training in areas such as law, human resources, non-profit boards of governance, we need you! In most cases the committees meet quarterly and communicate via email.

Please see the   Board News page for more detailed information about each committee's goals and desired skills of community members.

If you are interested in applying to be on a committee, please email the Chairperson directly.

PLP Welcomes Officer Parker

Officer Adam Parker from the Mooresville Police Department has been chosen to replace Officer Clanton, who will retire at the end of the month, as PLP's Special Resource Officer (SRO).

Mrs. Clarke's 3rd Grade class made welcome cards for Officer Parker, who comes to PLP after 10 years on patrol. He remembers the officer who served as SRO at his high school as a positive influence in his life, and he says he looks forward to having the opportunity to do the same for PLP students.

Officer Parker is a North Carolina native and has served with the Mooresville Police since 2008, and for Fuquay-Varina before that. He's also a member of the S.W.A.T. team.

Officer Parker and his wife, Kelley, have a son named Logan, who is a new Kindergarten student at PLP. When you see them on campus, please give them a warm welcome!
