Here are the possible background selections, in case it helps with deciding outfits.

The Putt for Pride Golf Tournament will be held at  the beautiful Peninsula Club on Monday, May 9th.

Some "Firsts" for Spring Sports

Softball Grand Slam:

With two outs in the bottom of the last inning, the PLP Varsity Softball team scored two runs fo r a dramatic come from behind win !! The game had numerous high level plays including the first ever (over the fence) grand slam blasted by Caroline Barfield!

Baseball No-Hitter

William Harwood's RBI triple in the bottom of the 1st proved to be all the Pride would ultimately need in their 3rd straight shutout.  Juniors Shane Connolly, Casey Scholl, and JoJo Castronovo all contributed big hits along the way while sophomore Jake Merkel and Brady Tucker contributed to the effort with 3 RBIs between them.

On the mound, Will Harwood threw the first no-hitter in Pine Lake history while striking out 15 Grace Academy batters in another dominating Pine Lake pitching performance to start the season.

Tennis Team Rallies to 4-0 Start

Boys tennis is off to a GREAT start. With the conference win of 8-1 over Lincoln Charter
on Tuesday, the team is 4-0. They had impressive wins over Newton-Conover and Mooresville! The team has high expectations with only graduating one starting senior last year after getting to the state finals. Follow us to the championship this spring!

They have a tough schedule next week playing Myers Park, Thomas Jefferson, and Charlotte Latin.

Lacrosse Club Debuts with a Win

Another first for PLP - the inaugural Lacrosse Club traveled to Hickory High School and came back with a hard-fought, double overtime win!

Help Expand the Lower School Library - Donations Doubled!
Spencer Woolley completed Phase 1 of the library expansion last summer for his Eagle Project. The next phase is to add shelving for more space to expand the library.

For a limited time, #BestSchoolDay will double any donation amount to Mrs. Brennan's Donors Choose project to purchase shelving for the Lower School library, to maximize the space and create more room for books!

The INCREDIBLE Lower School teachers were spoiled this week by parents and the PTO, with daily treats such as flowers, breakfast provided by the PTO, chocolate, and more. Thanks to all our incredible families and room coordinators for all the love shown to our teachers and staff!
team of 4th and 5th graders finished 2nd out of 14 teams in the spontaneous portion of the Odyssey of the Mind competition. This was their first appearance in OM! Congrats to ALL participants and to the coaches for providing this opportunity for students to take part in this program which teaches creative problem-solving.
