Penny Wars a Success, and Lesson about Family

The love is strong at the Lower School. All grades, K-12, participated in Penny Wars this week to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The competition was getting fierce between classes at the Lower School. Mrs. Hoke's class was in the lead to win the Olive Garden lunch, but then they decided to donate their pennies to Mrs. Leazer's classroom, to support 4th Grader, Kristina Dontino, who is in Mrs. Leazer's class, and is currently being treated for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Ms. Stolzenberg's class soon followed and donated their pennies, also, to ensure victory for Kristina's classroom.

GREAT job supporting your schoolmate! The total raised will be announced next week. Thanks to all!

Kristina is surrounded by her classmates in Mrs. Leazer's class, and students from Mrs. Hoke's class, including Henry, who presented a bagful of pennies to her today.
