Good Friday Service
|
|
Prince of Peace welcomes back artist and pastor Paul Oman.
A few years ago on Easter Sunday, Paul Oman brought his "Drawn To The Word" artistic ministry to Prince of Peace and those present will never forget the experience. Paul created a larger than life sized Mural during each of Easter services. The congregation was deeply moved by watching the process of the biblical story coming to life before their eyes.
This year, Paul will be with us for our 7:00 PM Good Friday service. While pastor Chad shares three dramatic readings throughout the service related to the crucifixion of our Lord, Paul will be bringing the story to life in a profound way by painting a beautiful and unique Mural depicting the very essence of the story we will be hearing!
Additional artistic layers will be added to the service by having both our full choir and worship band bring their gifts to create the emotional atmosphere of what will be a profoundly moving Good Friday worship service. This is a perfect opportunity to invite a friend to attend worship with you at Prince of Peace.
Here are some testimonials from folks who have experienced a service that included Paul's Drawn To The Word ministry.

Below are a few of the projects that have happened or are going to happen. Many hands working together make the projects more fun!!
Jeans and Junk: Hwy 81 Clean-up; Sunday, May 7
Spring is finally here which means it's time for Jeans and
Junk - Prince of Peace's Hwy 81 clean-up day. As part of Minnesota's Adopt a Highway program, Prince of Peace is responsible for cleaning up the section of Hwy 81 near church twice a year. How can you help? Wear your jeans to church on Sunday, May 7 and sign-up for your choice of one-hour clean-up shifts after each service. This is a great project for families and for youth needing volunteer hours. And it's an opportunity for us all to take pride in our community and take care of the world in which we live. To sign up, please contact Sue LaGue at 612-418-6891 or [email protected].

Thanks to the fundraising efforts of POP and HOPE Ministries and more than 600 individuals, 400 ELCA congregations, and many other organizations from coast to coast, the dream of bringing solar power to Phebe Hospital and School of Nursing in Liberia is underway!
Two containers of components, materials and supplies and the team from RREAL (Rural Renewable Energy Alliance) have arrived in Liberia to begin the installation in collaboration with 8 local partners who will gain a paid hands-on learning opportunity in installing solar energy systems. Installation is expected to be completed by the end of April. Thanks again to the POP and HOPE congregations for your support of this life-changing mission. Click here for more information.
