SUNDAY SCHOOL
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

THE BIG, BIG, STORY

Join us on Sunday at 9:30 am for the Annual Sunday School Christmas program.  This year we meet three reporters as they follow some leads on a developing story.  The word on the street is that this story is BIG -
as in REALLY BIG!
ALTERNATIVE CHRISTMAS GIFTS

The table in the Welcome Center has ideas for giving an "alternative" Christmas gift.  For those people you know that need and/or want nothing but you would still like to remember them at Christmas, donate for one of the items on the lists and send them a  note that says a donation was made because of them!
QUILTERS

The Quilting Team
The quilters will be in the Welcome Center again this Sunday with quilts for sale.  There will even be new ones available.  They use  the proceeds to purchase the materials to make more quilt!
We hope to see you at the quilt sale on December 11
If you're interested in more information contact
Jo Anderle 763-566-1570 or Carolyn Parker 763-427-1612.
CEAP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Click flyer for details on all opportunities for volunteer involvement with our Toys of Joy Holiday Program.

They are specifically looking for additional helping hands in preparation (December 15th, 16th, and 19th).

With your help, we will make spirits bright for 3,800 children in our community!

WORSHIP

"All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:  "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel - which means "God with us"
                                                                      Matthew 1:22-23

CEAP Toy Drive

Located in the Welcome Center is our CEAP Gift Tree that is loaded with ornaments.  We encourage the entire congregation to help us collect gifts.
Return all gifts (UNWRAPPED) to the tree.

Gifts will be delivered to CEAP Monday, December 12

xmas-ornaments.jpg Rejoice in the fact that you have helped make Christmas special for someone in need.

The ornaments are simply suggestions, all NEW gifts will be accepted.  You can put the ornament on your own tree as a reminder of the joy that you helped spread this holiday season!  CEAP has always been grateful for the support that Prince of Peace has given them, and we continue that support through our TOY Drive.

BROOKLYN AVENUES

Brooklyn Avenues is a 12-bed shelter and transitional housing program for homeless youth located in Brooklyn Park.  Youth ages 16-20 who are experiencing homelessness in the NW suburbs of Hennepin Cty are eligible to receive support from Brooklyn Avenues.  Usually the average stay will be 3-4 months, although some will stay shorter and others will stay longer.  The maximum stay is 18 months or age 21, whichever comes first.

Avenu xmas-tree-icon.gifes is hosting a Holiday Gift Program.  Click Giving Tree to see a wish list from them.  Put unwrapped items under the Brooklyn Avenues Giving Tree in the Welcome Center.
Gifts will be delivered Monday, December 12th.

WELCOME TO PRINCE OF PEACE

Welcome To Prince of Peace!

Check out our   welcome video! This professionally produced video will give visitors to our website a glimpse of what we are all about at Prince of Peace. The video can also serve as a fantastic way to invite others to Prince of Peace. We bet that you know at least three people who are not active members in a local congregation. Take a moment and send them a quick email with the link to this video. We also encourage you to share the video on your own Facebook page. It is an easy and effective way to let folks know about the wonderful outreach and ministry happening at your church and to let them know that they are invited!
